Customizing HTML: Navigation Bars (page 1)
To have Create make navigation bars for your document, bring up the Appearance pane of the Web Options dialog and check the Above and/or Below checkboxes.

For no navigation bars, uncheck both the Above and Below checkboxes.

Create’s navigation bars contain Previous, Next, Index and Home buttons.

Create automatically makes the links for the Previous, Next, and Index (Table of Contents) buttons. If you have no Table of Contents page, the navigation bar will not contain an Index button.

To set the URL for the Home button, bring up the
Misc pane of the Web Options dialog and enter a URL in the Home Page Link text field. By default, it’s set to index.html.

By default, index.html is a
link to the first page of your document (not the Table of Contents page).

While you can’t change navigation bar styles for an individual page, you can eliminate the navigation bars altogether or change the location.
